These 2 ½ hour classes are designed for children who come from home to thrive in our developmental environment 2, 3 or 4 times per week, a.m. or p.m.

Early September to late May.
Developmental approach: social, emotional, physical, intellectual.
Educational curriculum appropriate for age levels, stressing readiness skills and creativity.
Daily foreign language and computer activities.
Teacher-child ratio 1:8 or less.
Sessions 2 ½ hours. (3, 4 & 5's)
Gross motor activities indoors/outdoors.
Field trips. (3's, 4's, and 5's).
Parent conferences and visitations.
Parents/grandparents always welcome.
Speech and hearing screening - 4's & 5's.

The Nurtury has established its Full Day Toddler Enrichment Program to provide working families with an environment that meets their needs for safety, education, nurturing, and enrichment for their children while they are away from home. All that we do is guided by the most current research in early childhood education and childhood development. Children at the Nurtury thrive while their parents are working. Our 18 to 30 months family-grouping allows a young child to bond with his/her teachers and friends without changing on each birthday. Children become part of a classroom community and move as a group at the beginning of the new school year.

Through warm, caring relationships and active exploration of their world, Nurtury toddlers discover how things work, learn to communicate with and understand others, try out their emerging motor skills, build concepts, and develop thinking and problem solving skills. The self discovery, learning experiences and thinking skills that our youngest friends build in our Toddler Program prepare them to continue to learn and grow during their preschool years. The Nurtury has established its Full-Day Preschool Enrichment Programs in order to meet the parental need to find an environment which promotes safety, education, nurturing, and enrichment for their children. This program is open year-round between the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and serves children ages 2-1/2 through 5. Once a parent has chosen The Nurtury as a supplement to their home and family, its faculty and programs can be depended on as a consistent home-away-from-home throughout the year until a child enters the 6th grade.

Parents of children between the ages of 2-1/2 and 5 may reserve a place for their child for 2 to 5 days/week in our full-day development program. We follow the most current research which recommends: (1) young children in full-day programs should be in mixed-aged, family groupings; and (2) children benefit from preschool classes grouped by age for a few hours each day. Focusing on the developmental and intellectual needs of children, this highly individualized program emphasizes "active" learning experiences and self-expression. We serve as a model of the very best in kindergarten programming. The class meets five mornings a week, late August through early June. Before school, lunch and extended day programming available. Our Extended Day Program provides supplemental care and learning experiences for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We offer Spanish introduction, games, relaxation, computer activities, drama, crafts, listening center activities, nutritious snacks and lunch. Transportation is available to and from schools within the Medina City School District. Before school sessions and programming for days off from school are also available. Kids' Kamp is a camp-like summer program for children who have finished Kindergarten through 5th grade. Days are filled with local excursions, swimming, crafts, music, gardening, drama and club activities. Optional weekly small group field trips to exciting local destinations are offered.
